Be Coastsmart! Know before you go near the water

Learn how to become CoastSmart with the launch of this educational campaign, the first of its kind in Canada. This event includes interactive presentations and a chance to meet local CoastSmart Ambassadors. With a goal to reduce incidents, injuries and fatalities, CoastSmart helps visitors and locals understand what it really means to Respect the Ocean while still enjoying the coastal beauty and beach activities in this unique environment.

ARTSPLASH! – Artist in Action: Kelly Carter

Kelly has considered herself an artist since she could hold a crayon as well as coming from a solid base of excelling in Art at Ucluelet Secondary School. Kelly has worked in pencil sketch, water colour and acrylic, however her heart belongs to pyrographic art which is a fancy way of saying wood burning.
