Long Beach Lodge, Pacific Rim Highway, Tofino

JARED IS UNABLE TO MAKE IT BACK TO THE ISLAND ON TIME TO PRESENT. WE ARE VERY SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.

In every ocean whales and dolphins and known for their interactions with fisheries and vice versa. In either case, the outcome for both fishers and cetaceans is usually negative. Fisheries can become less lucrative when whales and dolphins reduce catch rates or damage gear while populations of threatened cetaceans can become incidental bycatch or the focus of intentional killings. This presents a major problem for fisheries and conservation managers, not to mention fishers and whales themselves.
